Pavilion Korea, Venice Biennale 2023

2086: Together How? is an exhibition that envisions a future ecocultural revolution through a critical evaluation of our anthropocentric heritage. At its core is a game that invites the audience to make choices regarding environmental crises. Their choices are displayed on a scoreboard and measured to demonstrate the players' control over our Faustian ideology of progress and materialism, which is leading us towards extinction. It arises from a collaborative research and design effort between architects and community leaders from three small realities in South Korea, offering a glimpse into urbanization, modernization, and globalization. The exhibition utilizes environmental crises to make visible a better ecoculture in our future.
